We used to have a yard full of these at the old house, but now that we've moved we have to seek them out in the neighborhood. This color red seems so unreal to me, like the saturation in life has been turned to maximum, and if I stare too long at the flower the intensity might blind me. It's one of those instances when real life has created a vibrancy that you can barely replicate in Photoshop.
