Bad news: Mumia will never, ever be freed. Sorry, leftists :(
The Supreme Court refused to review an appeals court ruling that upheld Mumia Abu-Jama's conviction for killing a cop in 1981. Mumia's been on death row since '82, despite the success of Rage Against the Machine. This is the third Mumia-related appeal the Supreme Court has rejected, and they might get one more in this year: prosecutors are appealing a federal court's ruling that Abu-Jamal deserves a new sentencing hearing!
So he will probably not be freed, in our lifetime, but he may also avoid being put to death by the state, which is something, right? Cheer up, hippies!
Oh, Leonard Peltier is still in jail too, FYI. And Henry Kissinger isn't. There's no justice, anywhere.
